Learn to Ride a Bike

Does your child want to learn to ride a bike? Do you struggle to figure out where to start? Does your child have special needs and is a little older? There are a number of resources out there for families to help their child learn to ride a bike –

• iCan Shine
  • iCan Shine runs the iCan Bike program, specially designed for people with disabilities.  Camps are held throughout the country, dominantly in the summer.  The camps are typically 5 days, consisting of 75 minute bike riding sessions.  
    • Summer 2026 camps are being held in Oshkosh and Milwaukee, WI. 
• The Wisconsin Bike Fed
  • The Wisconsin Bike Fed offers 2 hour sessions in the summer to assist youth learn to ride a bike.  They provide Safe Route Instructors that will work with your child to pedal on their own. 
    • Summer 2026 sessions occur in Bay View, WI.
